Flights to Varna
British Airways start their new summer route from Gatwick to Varna from March 26th 2006 will be introducing a two times weekly service from Varna to London from only 150 Euro return ticket.
The new flights will operate from London Gatwick to Varna every Wednesday and Saturday. These flights will be operated by Boeing 737-400 aircraft and will be available till the end of October 2006. The flights depart Gatwick at 15.05 and arrive at 20.30 with the return flight returning at 21.15 and landing back in the UK at 22.50. Expansion of British Airways services in Bulgaria demonstrates the company's dedication to the rapidly developing aviation market and tourism industry in Bulgaria. The new summer route from London Gatwick to Varna will offer UK passengers more flexibility when traveling with British Airways. It is also a response to the increasing interest in the Bulgarian sea-coast as a tourist destination, registered within the UK over the last years. In addition to the existing daily flights to London Heathrow. British Airways had launched three extra early flights from Sofia to London Gatwick, offering further links onward to many worldwide destinations at the same day.

It is this year for the first time that passengers from Madrid and Lisbon will be also able to land directly in Varna, on the northern coastline of Bulgaria, Bulgarian National Radio informed. Flights from Budapest and Vienna to Varna will be executed four times weekly as of end March and as of the beginning of May Bulgaria Air will re-launch regular flights to London. A regular charter flight to Amsterdam will also start operating at the Varna Airport as of June 6.
